Alva Lewis Nicholson, age 69, of Stone Mountain, died Saturday, July 31, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, with Rev. Kenneth Sweat officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain.

A native of Dekalb County, GA, Mr. Nicholson retired from Oglethorpe Power Co. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Norma Nicholson of Stone Mountain; Son Richard (Debbie) Nicholson and daughter Audra (Grant) Price of Denver, CO. Also sisters Barbara Myers of Norcross, Betty Nix of Statham, Lou Alice Mills of Monroe, Virginia Dallas of Decatur, Jeanette Conner of Conyers, brother Ronald Nicholson of Oxford, three grandchildren: Elizabeth Nicholson, Amanda Price, and Alana Nicholson and several nieces & nephews.
