CLARK - Miss Jessie May Clark, born Jan. 14, 1891, entered her eternal rest on Nov. 25, 1970 at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital in Chariton after a lingering illness.
She was the daughter of William A. and Rachel Esther Wilson Clark. She was a lifetime resident of Lucas County, having been employed by the Chariton Telephone Company for 15 years and by Lyman & DeVore.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour at an early age and united with the First Baptist Church of Chariton. She was highly admired by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Surviving her is one sister, Mrs. Cora Andrews.
She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and the community.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 28 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Edward Quick officiating. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
