Treva Atta Groves, 76, of Greenfield died Sept. 23, 2004.
Born Feb. 18, 1928, in McCordsville, she was the daughter of Elbert and Emma P. (Bell) Silvey.
She was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of Fortville Order of Eastern Star 149, past officer of Hancock County Extension Homemakers, past county women's leader for Hancock County Farm Bureau and a member of Indiana Farm Bureau. She was also a member of the National and Indiana Simmental Cattle Association, past National Simmental Trustee, member of Indiana Poland China Swine Association and Indiana and Hancock County Beef Cattle Association. She was a past Hancock County 4-H Club member and leader and a fair board member. She was a 1946 graduate of McCordsville High School.
Survivors include her son David Groves of Westfield; daughters Cathie Hickerson and Karen Dingman, both of Greenfield; brother Paul Silvery of Greenfield; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Enos I. Groves; sisters Mary Hunt and Lila Moore; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Seals Funeral Home in Fortville with the Rev. Jon Vance officiation.
Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made t the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
