Funeral Rites Held For W H Holleman At Prospect Church

In the death of William Henry Holleman, 86, which occurred Sunday night at his residence, Houston lost one of its oldest citizens. He had lived practically his entire life in this county.

While a youth he united with the Baptist Church, living consistently throughout his life.

In 1879 he was married to Miss Alice Mims, who died in the spring of 1935. Eleven children were born to this union, six of whom survive.

His funeral was held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Prospect Church with the Rev. W C Stewart officiating.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. J C Williams and Miss Ellie Holleman of Houston; and four sons, A P Holleman, of Arlington, Va.; J A Holleman, C S Holleman, and Bob Holleman, all of Houston; and nine grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were A P Seay, C A Brown, Brutus Dendy, Edgar Carter, Bill Smith, and Doss Lowry.
