Robert G. Hogan, our beloved son, husband, father and grandfather, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah due to heart failure.
He was born January 4, 1936 to Franklin Wood Hogan and Hazel Garrett Hogan in Bountiful, Utah. He graduated from West High School in 1954 and served in the Utah Air National Guard and U.S. Navy.
He married Charlene B. Nye on May 7, 1958. Solemnized on June 26, 1975 in the Manti LDS Temple. He and Charlene made their home in Oakley, Utah.
He loved to camp, fish and hunt and spent many happy hours and days in his beloved Uintas. He was talented and knowledgeable in many fields and was an avid gunsmith.
Survivors include his wife; mother, Hazel G. Bishop, Salt Lake City; daughter, DeNeil Hogan Petersen, Durango, CO; son, Gary (Cori) Hogan, South Jordan; grandchildren: Aaron Petersen, Nicholas, Carson, Chandler and Kaitlyn Hogan; sister, Patricia Opoulos, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by his father; step-father, Parley A. Bishop; sister, Marilyn Thompson.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main prior to services.
