Virginia (Searson) Middleton Hutson, 88, of North Charleston, was born in Early Branch, SC, on August 16, 1921, to the late Edwin Searson and Bessie Stone Searson.

Virginia was a talented seamstress and homemaker. She worked for many years at Kerrison's Department Store and retired from Belk's Department Stores.

She was a member of the Cooper River Baptist Church, North Charleston, and was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Virginia is survived by her sisters: Louise Hull of Seabrook, SC and Edna Youmans of Yemassee, SC; children: Judy Koch and husband Robert Koch, Kenneth Middleton, Barbara Magathan, and Gregory Middleton and wife Pam Middleton; grandchildren: Christopher Koch and wife Kimberly Koch, Rodney Middleton and wife Carrie Middleton, Cory Middleton, and Jeremy Middleton.

She was predeceased by her brother: Campbell Searson, first husband: Gregory G Middleton, and second husband: Albert W Hutson.

She was predeceased by her brother: Campbell Searson, first husband: Gregory G Middleton, and second husband: Albert W Hutson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, and from 9:00 until time of service on Wednesday.

Burial and Committal services to follow in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive, Charleston, SC.
