Ellis Palmer died Monday at his home in Decatur. His death was due to an injury received some time previous by being hit by a steel railroad iron, he was helping unload from a Wabash car. Ellis had been working for Wabash for some time. The remains were brought to Sidell and funeral held at M. E. church Thursday. Interment at Fairview. The deceased was a son of Emanuel Palmer, a brother of Mrs. Will Sawyer and Mrs. Milt Meece. He was a former resident of Sidell. He leaves a wife and six children besides several brothers and sisters.
