James Allen Jones passed away Sunday, December 11, 1955 in the home of his daughter, Leona Gertrude Graham of Edna, Texas. A native of Live Oak County, Mr. Jones was born in Oakville, July 25, 1866 to Calvin Allen Jones and Lydia Chambliss Jones. In addition to his daughter Leona and husband Judson. Mr. Jones is survived by another daughter, Lydia Emily Coker and her husband Glenn of George West, one son, Henry Allen Jones also of George West, a brother Charles Jones of Big Foot; two half brothers, Oliver L. Jones of Nixon; Lewis Alexander Jones of Dallas. He is survived by three half sisters; Lolite Jones Randolph, Annie Jones Brown and Callie Jones Randolph all of Karnes City. Mr. Jones was pre-deceased by his parents, Calvin Allen Jones and Lydia Chambliss Jones, his step-mother Sarah Jane Cooper Jones of Karnes City, his wife Kittie Melvina Wilson Jones, his brother Andrew J. Jones, his half sisters, Mary Jones Taylor, Nancy Jones and Mattie Jones Hyatt. Burial was in Oakville Cemetery.
