John Lilly was a minister of the Church of Christ and lived at Lake Arthur, New Mexico for several years. He moved to Clyde in 1983 before moving to Star in 1993.
Survivors: two daughters - Zelphia Mae Herring of Loco Hills, NM and Erma Henson of Tulsa, OK; two sons - J.F. Lilly of Star and Kirby Lilly of Tuscola; brother - H.P. Lilly of Abilene; sister - Vera Moore of Snyder; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, several who are residents of Throckmorton and Stephens Counties.
He was preceded in death by his wife - Vera; son - John Alvie in 1991 and an infant son - Eulass in 1931
