The Jacob "Wate" and Martha "Wade" buried in the Mackeyville Cemetery in Larmar Twn are in reality Jacob Wecht / Weight and his wife Martha. There are no "Wade's" in Clinton Co. nor in nearby counties in the 1850 - 1870s.

Jacob Weight shows up living in Lamar Twn, Centre Co., in 1827-28 tax assessments and remains in Lamar Twn. until his death in 1871 except for a bried period about 1830 where is in Miles Twn., Center Co. Note that Lamar Twn. becomes part of the new Clinton Co. in 1839 (previously it was in Centre Co).

In 1830 Jacob is living in Miles Twp next to one, and a couple of farms from another, no doubt, of his brothers, William and George.

Jacob's father, or possibly his grandfather, may have been Jonannes Wecht, middle son of the German immigrant Adam Wacht, b. 1726 in Aich, Germany.

Jacob was born in Pa, possibly in Bedford Co or Huntingdon Co., Pa. Jacob and Martha had at least 8 children (1850 c.).

Children of Jacob and Martha, John and Martha (see 1850 census) are also buried in Mackeyville Cem. as "WaDe."

Jacob Bower and Sarah, daughter of Jacob and Martha Weight/Waite, are buried in nearby Cedar Hill Cemetery, Clinton Co, Pa. Jacob Bower died 25 Feb 1926 and his wife Sarah (Weight/Waite) Bower died 13 Feb 1911.
