After the death of her first husband, Reuben Sparks, she married Jim Gouge. He did not treat her right and she moved home to daddy. She was living there in 1953 when the picture was taken going by the name Dollie Blalock. Uncle Sam and Aunt Dovie had inherited the old home place built by John Collis Blalock and his father.
