He was a Korean War Army veteran.
He was the son of the late Leslie Cowles and Golda Wingfield
Cowles and the husband of the late Betty Jean Powers Cowles. He was preceded in death by a son Danny Cowles.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Fairview Cemetery# 2.
Visitation is from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Ramona Cowles of Portland, OR; two sons, Dewayne Cowles and his wife Rachel of Portland, OR and Mark Cowles and his wife Myia of Denton, TX; Seven grandchildren, Four great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Maybell Cowles of Bowling Green and a Caregiver, Terry Mitchell of Smiths Grove
