Obituary:
Elizabeth "Ann" Armstrong, 59 of Battle Creek passed away Sunday April 15, 2007 at Battle Creek Health System. She was born October 3, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Bernard "Barney" and Barbara (Wilson) Jettner. Ann was a 1965 graduate of Lakeview High School.

She enjoyed playing golf, collecting Beanie Babies, spending time at the family cabin in Mesick and going to the casino, but most of all enjoyed "spoiling" her grandchildren. Ann was proud to have served the residents of Bedford Township for the past 31 years; from 1976 until 1992 as Township Clerk and 1992 until the present as the Township Supervisor.

On April 22, 1967 she was married to Richard "Dick" Armstrong, who survives. Also surviving are two sons: Timothy A. (Sally) Armstrong of Battle Creek and Jeffrey A. (April) Armstrong of Plainfield, IL; five grandchildren: Alexandria and Reid Armstrong of Battle Creek; Blake, Drew and Kylie Armstrong of Plainfield, IL; sister: Sharon (John) Dennis of Fayetteville, AL; brother: Chick (Donna) Jettner of Charlotte; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant grandson: Austin C. Armstrong.

The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, 703 Capital Avenue, S.W. from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. this evening and 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Bedford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Little Angel Rest Program at Battle Creek Health System or the Carrie Adams Memorial Scholarship Fund.
