Robert Henry Cayemberg, 83, of 8595 LL Road, Rapid River (Nahma) passed away June 10, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born August 20, 1926 in Pittsfield Township, Wisconsin the son of the late Felix and Meta (Kranzusch) Cayemberg. He was raised in Seymour, Wisconsin on his grandfather's farm until age 10, when his family moved to Isabella. He graduated from the Nahma High School. Following graduation he worked at the Bay de Nocquet Lumber Company. He served his country proudly from 1950 until 1952 in the United States Army. Robert was honorably discharged in September 1952. Robert returned to Isabella where he resided with his parents until marrying Darlene Gouin on February 4, 1961 at St. Anne's Church in Isabella. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary February 4, 2011. They made their home in the Nahma/Isabella area.

Robert worked as a bricklayer. He was a member of this union for 50 years and received a pin recognizing this accomplishment.

For many, many years Robert was caretaker of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Nahma and presently is a member. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society and was an active member of the American Legion Post 301 of Rapid River. Robert was also a member of the Nahma Golf Course, which he and Darlene managed for many years. He enjoyed these years immensely and played in the Men's Golf League; as well as the Mixed Doubles and many tournaments.

Robert's hobbies included golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with his loved ones and being an avid Packer Fan. He welcomed his relatives, neighbors and friends into his home and was eager to help them any way humanly possible. If ever there was a "Mr. Good Guy" in was he. Because he led this type of life, Jesus surely welcomed him with open arms.

In addition to his wife, Darlene he is survived by his children, Tim (Melissa) Cayemberg of Isabella and Teresa (Al) Brandt of Escanaba; grandchildren: Travis, Trista and Cassidy; brothers: Earl (Edith) Cayemberg of Green Bay, WI, Raymond (Nancy) Cayemberg of Duluth, MN and Laverne Cayemberg of Kalamazoo, MI; sisters: Fern Gouin of Green Bay, WI, Lois (Paul) Bertrand of Menominee, MI and Marie Gouin of Isabella and several nieces and nephews.
