Norway - Services for Edward Walter Blake, 79, of 306 St. John's Ave., Norway, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's United Methodist Church with burial in Norway Cemetery. The Revs. James McGee and Buddy Edwards will officiate. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Mercer Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Norway Cemetery Fund. The funeral home is in charge. Mr. Blake, husband of the late Clarice Page Blake, died Tuesday. He was a son of the late Martin Luther and Ruby Sandifer Blake. He was retired from the American Bankers Co. and a retired co-owner of Blake's Texaco in Norway. Mr. Blake was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Walter and Sheri Birt Blake of Norway; son, George Edward Blake of Columbia; four grandchildren. © The State, Columbia, SC, 24 Jun 1999
