Obituary

Mrs. E.E. Larue departed this life August 29, 1899, at her home in the Rock Church community on the Lampasas river in Lampasas county.

She was born in east Tennessee November 27, 1843. She was the daughter of Alfred Bitner, a prominent citizen of Houston county, Texas. Converted in early life she joined the Methodist church and remained a faithful consistent member unto the end. On December 7, 1865, she united in marriage to T. D. Larue in Houston county, Texas. Sister Larue was a great sufferer for several years; and death was no surprise to her or her loved ones: She was ready to go, and said "all is well." Oh, it is so sad to give up loved ones! But we weep not as those that have no hope. May the bereaved family and friends meet her again where parting are no more.
