Loudean Wilcox Perkins Lamb 1930 ~ 2010 Loudean Wilcox Perkins Lamb passed away July 27, 2010, of causes incident to age.She was born August 16, 1930, in Wheelon, Box Elder County, Utah. She was the youngest of eight children, daughter of James Christopher and Ella Althea Wilcox Perkins. She was raised with four older brothers, who loved to tease her, but always protected her. She grew up in Smithfield, Utah, and graduated from North Cache High School. Loudean met Gene H. Lamb, the love of her life, while she was still in Jr. High. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple after her high school graduation and then moved to Salt Lake City where Gene started his career. Three of their sons were born while they lived in Salt Lake. They were then transferred to Provo, where they would spend the rest of their lives, and the other three sons were born. Being the mother of six boys was always a challenge, but she seemed to be on top of things. Loudean and Gene loved to socialize and enjoyed many activities including square dancing, pinochle, and many service organizations. Loudean worked as a secretary at Provo High School and then worked with Gene in their finance business. Gene passed away at an early age and left her a widow for more than 32 years. Loudean was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many callings throughout her life. She loved the Lord and set a perfect example in the way that she lived the Gospel. Loudean loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Terry (Elouise), Taylorsville; Bruce (Linda), Orem; Paul (Sherri), Pleasant Grove; Dennis (Sandee), Pembroke Pines, FL; Philip (Janae), Orem; and David (Tina), Provo. She has 25 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren; also, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, her beloved Gene, and two great grandchildren. A viewing will be held Sunday night, August 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, and prior to the service, Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Edgemont South Stake Center, 2950 Canyon Rd, Provo. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Hills in Provo.
