Marjorie Ione Blythe

Marjorie Ione Blythe, 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends at the home of her daughter Cindy Ramirez on July 26, 2010.

She died from complications after suffering a stroke.

Marjorie was born on July 16, 1926, in Maricopa, Ariz., to Nathan Brian and Cordilla Melvina (Pink) Harvey.

She grew up in Arizona and moved to Blythe in 1950.

In Blythe, she worked as a waitress in various restaurants until purchasing the Horny Toad Saloon in 1987. Marjorie owned and operated the Saloon until she was called home to God.

Marjorie is survived by daughters, Linda Hurst and Cindy Ramirez of Blythe; sons, Rusty Sarrett of Indio, Calif., Toby Sarrett of Blythe and Shawn Carr of Blythe; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation for Marjorie will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Aug. 2, 2010 at Frye Chapel & Mortuary followed by funeral services at 12 p.m. Burial will follow immediately after at Palo Verde Cemetery with a reception at V.F.W. Hall, 148 N. First St.
