William D Jones died at his home on McLean street following a lingering illness of stomach trouble. Mr Jones was a native of Wales, where he married and raised his six children. In 1895 he and his family emigrated to this country, and settled in Warrior Run. There he pursued his lifelong occupation as a coal miner. In 1903, he became a citizen of the United States along with his son, Morgan. In addition to his son and his wife, Elizabeth, the following children survive him: Mrs Thomas J (Anna) Williams, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Pritchard, Mrs. Robert J. (Elizabeth) Williams, Mrs. Ralph E. (Sarah) Pealer, and Mrs. Jane Williams, widow of Gomer. Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery.
