Carl Schmidt, 60, of Malvern vicinity, died Sunday at the Stiles rest home where he had been a patient one year. A native of Washington County, he had lived in that area 25 years and formerly was employed by Malvern Clay Co. Mr. Schmidt served in World War I.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Mae Schmidt; four daughters, Mrs. Cleda Fay Hartshorne and Jane Eick, both of Malvern, Mrs. Rosina Seaburn of Waynesburg, and Linda Lee Johnson of the home; two sons, Carl, Jr. and Clarence, both of Paris; 11 grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Florence
Knight and Rosie Becker, both of Minerva, and Mrs. Mary Poole of Malvern.
Services were Wednesday at the Deckman funeral home. Burial
was in Liberty Cemetery near Malvern.
