John N. Eberhart, a pioneer resident of North Bay, founder of the town Allyn, where he lived for twenty years until about eight years ago, died at the Soldiers' Home near Port Orchard, August 11, aged 84 years. After leaving Mason County, Mr. and Mrs. Eberhart spent several years in Oklahoma, and returned about two years ago to live near their married children in this state.
Deceased was born in Franklin County Penn., and most of his life has been spent in the west. He leaves a widow aged 79 years, one son, George P. Eberhart of Springfield, MO, and four daughters, Mrs. Rosa Hicks of Ava, MO, Mrs. Ed. Terry of Allyn, Mrs. Raymond Cormier, and Mrs. J. B. Yoder, both of Aberdeen, Wash. The funeral was at the Home last Thursday attended by the children within reach.
