Elisha King Abbott, 82, merchant, passed away Monday at the home
of his son, Rupert Abbott in Oil Valley.
He was born Oct. 12, 1876 in Wayne County,the son of the late Rufus
Abbott and the late America Sumpter Abbott.
The funeral was Wednesday afternoon, at 2:30 at the home of Rupert Abbott, with Rev. Arnold Lovett and Rev. Glen Edwards officiating.
Burial in the Sandusky Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Nannie Abbott; 3 children: Rupert, Rufus, and Ed Abbott, all of Wayne County; 3 brothers, T. N. Abbott, Monticello; Marion Abbott, Garland, Tex.; Eugene Abbott, address unknown; 4 sisters, Mrs. Lou Howlet, Cincinnati, O.; Mrs. Ninnie Coffey, Owensbbro; Mrs. Nellie Slavens, High Point, Tenn., and Mrs. Alfred Abbott, Monticello.
