Aline Plaisance Cantrelle, 96, a native of Cut Off and resident of New Orleans, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Edgar A. Cantrelle Jr.; four daughters, Mary Louise Benson, Wilma C. Tsangaris, Betty Hyden and Nancy Rodriguez; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar A. Cantrelle Sr.; her parents, Alexis and Alice Savoie Plaisance; her grandparents, Jean Francois and Apolonize Cevallos Plaisance III; four brothers, Levi, John, Charley and Andrew Plaisance; and nine sisters, Louise Lefort, Laura Bruce, Henrietta Adams, Daisy Richoux, Jeanne Blanchard, Ora Remont, Alice Terrebonne, Antionette Plaisance and Alexina Massey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
