DIED at Harwinton, on the 26th of Nov. Dr. William Abernethy, aged 68 years. On Sunday following his funeral was attended by a vast concourse of solemn and sympathizing spectators, when a well adapted sermon was preached by the Rev. Joshua Williams, from Rev . (not legible) During the space of 46 years he was employed as an able and skillful physician. He had been a professor of the Christian religion from early life, and in his last sickness, which was short, he exhibited an uncommonly calm and resigned state of mind, experiencing the support and consolations of religion, and a firm hop of blessedness through the merits of the Redeemer. He has left a wife and nine children, with numerous and affectionate acquaintance to lament their loss.
