Our community was shrouded in sorrow last week when Harvey Anderson was stricken with pneumonia on February 20 from which he died Wednesday, February 28 at 7 a.m.

Harvey was the son of Noah and Betsy Anderson who preceded him to the grave but a few years ago. He was born and raised on the farm where his entire life was spent, farming being his chief occupation until about 7 years ago when he put in a stock of groceries and dry good and later a grist mill, which he ran until he took sick. He was never a very strong man but by his courtesy, honesty and kindness he had the confidence of his neighbors who gave him a good patronage in both store and mill. His wife would tend the store while he was busy at the mill. He requested his family to continue business as he had been doing.

Besides his wife and 2 children, Noah and Mrs Floyd Moore, he leaves 1 sister, Mrs M H Matthews, Chattanooga; 5 brothers, Alpheus, Denver, Co; Alvin, White county; Garland, Overton county; Oliver and L B, Cookeville.
He was married to Miss Ida Adcock September 20, 1906. He joined the Baptist church in 1895.
Funeral services were conducted at Smith's Chapel Thursday afternoon by the preacher that married he and his wife. 27 years ago
