Sherman Horace Garner, 39, machinist, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James J. Garner, 1305 East Seventh St., Wednesday at 2:15 a.m. following a long illness. He was a member of the Separate Baptist Church.

Surviving are the widow, Effie; a daughter, Marie, and a son, William Floyd Garner, both at home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. James J. Garner; three brothers, Jeff Garner of Tennessee; Ulysses Garner of Ohio, and Robert Garner of Muncie, and three sisters, Mrs. Libbie Ray and Mrs. Gladie Carick, both of Tnnessee, and Mrs. Lilllie Edwards of Newcastle.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Separate Baptist Church, the Reverend Harry Case officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. The Body has been taken to Meeks Mortuary, but will be returned Wednesday evening to the residence, where friends may call.
