"Dec. 28, 1888 –Mrs. Catherine Cooksey died at the residence of her son in law Joseph Thomas in Loudon Co., Va.[on Dec. 26] Age 70. She was the relict of [Joseph] Henry Cooksey, former register of wills for the county. Interment in Durham Church cemetery with the Rev. T.O. Tongue from Georgetown [pastor of Durham] officiating. She leaves several children; only one, the widow of Wm. H. Gray, lives in the county."
Catherine's residence was still in Charles County. Catherine's will stated that she leaves "Palmoine" (part of Habredeventure) to her 5 children.
