BETTY JEAN DAWALT
ALEANDRIA -- Betty Jean Dawalt, 49, Alexandria, died suddenly Sunday at her home.
Mrs. Dawalt was a native of Grant County. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and First Christian Church, both of Marion, and she also belonged to the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and Eagles Lodge Auxiliary.
Her husband, Dean Dawalt, died in 1969.
She is survived by one daughter, Gina Dawalt at home; one brother, Charles Cummings, Daytona Beach, Fla.; and one sister, Mrs. Maxine Stewart, Cocoa Beach, Fla.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison St., Alexandria. The Rev. Chester Owens will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
