Gilbert O. Bronson was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ole Bronson, January 15, 1859, in Fillmore county, Minn. When his parents later moved to Brown County, Ks., and affiliated the the Upper Wolf Lutheran congregation, he was confirmed by Rev. Erdahl. Since that time Mr. Bronson was a faithful attendant upon divine services and a staunch supporter of the activities of the church of Christ. Any just pleas for help found him a willing giver, giving from the fullness of a kind heart.
He was united in marriage to Emma Gullickson. After a brief sojourn in western Kansas, he and his wife settled in the Upper Wolf neighborhood. No children were born to this union, and on Aug. 10, 1926, Mrs. Bronson died, leaving Mr. Bronson alone. Since that time Mr. Bronson has resided at the home in Robinson. During the past year the deadly attacks of cancer ruined his health, and brought about his death at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson at Plainville, Ks., on the morning of Nov. 28, 1933, at the age of 74 years, 10 months, 13 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing, two sisters, Mrs. Ole Gullickson, Hiawatha, Mrs. John Anderson, Plainville, Ks., one brother Nels, of Superior, Nebr. and a large number of nieces, nephews. His kindly ways won him many friends wo share in the sorrow over his death. May he continue to live unto God in Christ Jesus.
Funeral services were conducted from Upper Wolf Lutheran church Friday, Nov 31. Respecting Mr. Bronson's request there were no flowers, all was arranged in simplicity as he desired it. Interment was made at Upper Wolf cemetery, Rev. K. C. Grundhal, reading the words of commitment.
