Irvin Bryan Franklin, age 73 of Staffordsville, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Paul B. Hall in Paintsville. Born November 26, 1936 in Paintsville, KY, he was the son of the late Eddie and Mildred Franklin Arms. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by by his wife, Juanita Joyce Franklin (2001); and one sister, Ellen Jean Williams. He is survived by one son, Michael Thomas Franklin of Collinsville, OK; one step son, Billy Joe Blair of Lexington; one daughter, Lisa Ellen Castle of Phoenix; one brother, Perry Martin Franklin of Columbus; and three grandchildren, Trenda, Shane and Dylan Castle all of Phoenix. He was a member of the Rockhouse Freewill Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel, a Member of the Paintsville Masonic Lodge 381 F&M and a United States Army Veteran.

Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday, July 29th at the Rockhouse Freewill Baptist Church. Friends may visit the Phelps & Son Funeral Home from 5-9PM Wednesday and after 10AM Thursday at the church. Richard Williams, Buddy McKenzie and Herb Arms will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contribution can be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation by contacting the Phelps & Son Funeral Home at 789-8989.
