Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 17, at the Roley Christian Church for Miss Alma Jeanette Chelf, 43 years of age, who died at the Louisville General Hospital, Monday, October 16, 1972, at approximately 1:30 a.m. Services at 2:00 in the afternoon were conducted by Rev. Harold Odor with burial in the Roley Cemetery. The Lyon Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Miss Chelf, who lived on Route 1, Casey Creek, was born September 9, 1929, daughter of Lennie and Elbert Chelf. Her mother preceded her in death August 17, 1938. Besides her father, Elbert Chelf, she is survived by three brothers: Ralph, Frankfort; Herbert, Jackson, Miss.; and Richard Chelf, Casey Creek; two sisters: Mrs. Arthur Sumner, Brockton, Mass., and Don Weil, Fort Royal, Va.
