Greenwood - Wilbur Atchison Workman, 87 resident of 919 Phoenix Street, widower of Elizabeth Harling Workman, died 04 JAN 2000 at Self Memorial Hospital. Born in Cross Hill, 07 NOV 1912, he was a son of the late William Arthur and Maggie Scott Atchison Workman. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and attended Presbyterian College. Mr Workman was retired from Firestone. A Member and former Deacon of South Main Street Baptist Church, he was also a member, Secretary and Outreach Director of the Adult #10 Sunday School Class. He was a member of of the Golden 'K' Kiwanis Club and a Life Member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge #91 AFM. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca Workman Brown and Warren Brown of Greenwood, and Jayne Workman Toney and Felix Toney of Spencer NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Wilbur Thomas Workman and Paula Golubski Workma of San Antonio TX; nine grandchildren, Gregory Thomas Toney, Brian Allyn Toney, Trent Michael Lanford, Colby Atchison Lanford, Blake Madison Lanford, Mason Thomas Workman, Jamie Rebecca Workman, Brooke Lauren Workman and Margaret Workman Lanford; three great-grandchildren, Wales Brantley Toney, Grace Elizabeth Toney and Madison Christine Lanford. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Blyth Funeral Home.
