He served overseas from June 23, 1918 to June 29, 1919.

He received his discharge from the Army on July 9, 1919 at Mitchel Field, Long Island, New York.

He was originally from Littlestown, Pennsylvania.

He was married to Anna Mary Groupe on November 28, 1923 at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

His last place of residence was in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on July 27, 1973.
