Robert Barter, Sr., age 60, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010. Robert was born on July 22, 1950 to Paul Steven and Maxine Barter. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1968. Robert enjoyed participation in bingo, casino trips, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, devotion to family, love, sense of humor, being there to help others as well as a hard worker. Robert was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and uncle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Steven Barter, Sr. and Maxine T. Barter and his brother, Tony Barter.
Robert is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Barter; children, Robert (Stephanie) Barter, Jr., Angie (Jamie Browder) Davis and Benita Canales; sisters, Wanda McNelly and Theresa White; brothers, Paul Steven (Elaine) Barter, Jr., Mike (Kim) Barter, Ronald 'Smokey' Barter; seven grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Seaside Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. that same day in the Chapel.
Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
