Lavonia Huddleston, age 79, died Tuesday, June 14, 1977, at the Medco Center where she had been a patient for several years. She was a native of Nelson County, born there July 4, 1897. She is the daughter of the late George R. and Sarah Jane Grider Holt. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Campbellsville. Three sons survive: George Huddleston of Greensburg; Kenneth Huddleston of Campbellsville; and Joseph Huddleston of Campbellsville. Two brothers survive: Paul S. Holt of Campbellsville and Joseph W. Holt of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Ramsey officiating and assisted by the Rev. Morris Tucker. Interment followed in the Brookside Cemetery.
