Father of two sons John J. & Frank R. Aschenbren(n)er. Husband of Elizabeth "Bess" Sabatka. Sugar was a meatcutter by trade and was a WWI Vet. Where he fought in the European trenches of France. It is believed he was subjected to the chemical gas warware used in that conflict. He developed heart problems after his return from the war. He worked in downtown Plattsmouth and became well known to the farming community that shopped & traded on Main Str. Last couple years for him was spent in & out of the Vet's Hospital in Omaha & Lincoln. He passed while his sons were still in their early teens. His grandchildren will always wish they had got to met & know Him! MJA
