Dorothy Marsh Davis, 93, of Sweet Home passed away Wednesday.

She was born in Fort Towson, Okla., to Joseph and Blanch (Cavendar) Elliott.

She married Maxie Rainey in 1933. They came to Sweet Home from Oklahoma in 1952 and raised their family there.

Dorothy enjoyed sewing, quilting and flower gardening. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by nine children, Mattie Speck, Margarett Duncan, Doris Sitton, Ruby McClung, Joyce Crebs, Jeanette Wallace, Anna Sue Rainey, Cathy Davis and Debbie Deaton; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by son J.R. Rainey and two husbands, Johnny Davis and Maxie Rainey.

Viewing will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 26, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Lebanon.
