One of the oldest residents of this area, Luther Bailey, died April 10, at his residence, following a two month's illness. He was 92 years old. Immediate survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lou Cora Bailey, Russell Springs, two grandchildren, Mrs. Velta Brown, Russell Springs, and Mrs. Judy Collins, Louisville; a sister, Mrs. Mary S. Combest, Columbia, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ada Bailey, Russell Springs. Services were held in the chapel of Bernard Funeral Home, April 12, at 2 p.m., by Revs. S.B. Rowe and Ray Brown. Entombment was in Conover Cemetery.
