SMITH
Miss Nannie Smith, a highly esteemed lady of this place, died last Friday under very sad circumstances at the residence of Mrs. Nannie Moore, where she had been making her home for several months past. She retired the night before in apparently as good health as usual, but the next morning was found dead. Her life had evidently gone out without a struggle while she slept, for two young ladies, who were occupying the room with her, knew nothing of it until the next morning. The funeral took place at the Christian church at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. M. G. Buckner, after which her remains were laid to rest in Spring Hill. Her death closed a beautiful, useful and beloved life, given up to ministering to the wants (of) others.
