ALICE E. RAWSON
Alice is Rawson, age 82 of Farwell, passed away Thursday , Sept. 25, 2008 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. She was born the daughter of Wilford and Pearl (Adleman) Hoschar on April 25, 1926 in Gretna, Nebraska. She married Allen Rawson on August 11, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2001. Alice and Allen were life-long Isabella County farmers.
She is survived by her children, Richard Rawson of Farwell, Joy and Hugh Riley of Remus, Linda Rawson and Tony Eberhart of Clare, Debra Wiggins and Ed Haggart of Farwell, Christine and Bruce Henry of Farwell and Shelley Huntoon of Farwell. Also surviving are her siblings, Joseph Hoschar, John (Helen) Hoschar, Bill (Alice) Hoschar, Mel Hoschar, Marie Sand, Marjorie Haley, and her sister-in-law Imogene Rawson-Smith and Bernice Vincent, as well as nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard and her sister Ida Mae Bickett.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. from the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Gilmore Township Cemetery. Friends may meet with her family on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Renucci Hospitality House in Grand Rapids or to Hospice of Michigan.
