MOORELAND, Ind., Aug. 16 - Andrew J. Dakins, age 74, a wellknown resident of northern Henry county, died at the home of his son, David Dakins, northwest of here, Friday noon, from paralysis. He is survived by five sons, David, Sylvester, George, James and Elmer Dakins, and four daughters, Mrs. I. T. Hosier, Mrs. L. L. Lake, Mrs. Frank Mowry and Mrs. Verl Byers of Newcastle.
The funeral will be held at the Mooreland Christian church, Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock with Rev. Roll Bennett in charge. Interment will take place at the Mooreland cemetery.

Mooreland, Aug. 18--A. J. Dakins, a well-known farmer, 74 years of age, died at the home of his son, David Dakins, and family, with whom he was making his home, near here, at 10:30 o'clock this morning. He was a native of Ohio, but had been a resident of Henry county for many years. He was twice married, but both wives preceded him in death.
He is survived by nine children, of whom Mrs. Verl Byers, of New Castle, is one. He is also survived by many friends.
The funeral arrangements have not been completed as yet.
