Funeral services for Orley Ernest Bickers, 62, Fritch, Texas, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. P.S. Lake, 3906 Houston, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Fritch where the family had resided for 27 years.
Mr. Bickers died at 3 p.m. Thursday in a Borger, Texas hospital. This was the first death in the Lake family in 50 years.
Born Sept. 9, 1898, in Moody, Texas, Mr. Bickers was a deacon in the Baptist church at Fritch, and a 32nd degree Mason. He had been employed with the Illinois Natural Gas Pipeline Company Refinery in Fritch for 27 years.
He was married to Miss Elizabeth Lake Bickers in Greenville, Hunt Co., Texas, June 9, 1928.
