A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose for Edward Joseph Savoie Sr., 77, a native of Galliano and resident of Larose, who died at 7 a.m. Nov 20, 1998.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
He was the husband of Emily light Savoie; father of Edward J. Savoie Jr. and Beverly Terrebonne; and brother of Ernest, Larry, Paul and John Savoie, Agnes Guidry, Louise Adams and Annie Cheramie. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arsene and Marie Hebert Savoie; brothers, Clarence and Claude Savoie; and sister, Emily Lombas.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
