An employee of Guide Lamp Division for 42 years, Charles Sweitzer, 61, of W. 27th St., died Monday afternoon at the IU Medical Center in Indianapolis after a brief illness.
Final rites are arranged for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Ballard and Shirey Funeral Home in Daleville with the Rev. Lanis Kineman, minister of the Bethany Christian Church, in charge Burial will be in the East Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
He is survived by the widow Carolyn Sue Sweitzer; his mother, Mrs. Catherine Lucas of Anderson; a son, Dale K. Sweitzer of Daleville; a sister, Marie Fisher; three brothers, Robert A. Sweitzer of Noblesville, Arvid Sweitzer of Alexandria and Henry J. Sweitzer of Anderson; and six stepchildren.
