Geneva Lafont A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Geneva Lafont, 58, a native of Galliano and resident of Golden Meadow, who died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, June 19.Interment was in the Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.She was the stepmother of Jackin Lafont Jr., Forest and Buddy Matherne, Marian Naquin and Gloria Jane Guidry; sister of Harry Anselmi, Eviola Duet, Aline Plaisance, Belle Crabtree, Doris Eschete, Nora Anselmi and Nila Lasseigne. She is also survived by 15 step-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackin Lafont Sr.; and her parents, Jean and Nora Lathrop Anselmi. She is also preceded in death by a grandchild.
