Elisabeth was the daughter of William Logan Scott and Susan Jane Moad Scott. She was the sister of W.D., John B., and Edward E Scott; and half-sister of Albert Turner Scott. Elisabeth's mother Jane died sometime between August of 1861 and November of 1862. Her father William remarried in November of 1862 to Mary Jane Walker. Elisabeth had just turned 4 years old at the time.
Around 1872, Elisabeth married Alexander Wilkes George. They had a nine children and a long life together. They had sevens sons and two daughters. Their children were born in this order; William Logan, Ira Hubbard, Joseph Edward, Alzena Ellen, Alexander Wilkes, John Mills Pearce, Florence Ethel, Alexander Milton, and Charles Zebedee "Zeb". All their children grew to adulthood.
