She spent all her years in the Fairmont community.
She united in marriage to Ora Robbins, August 30, 1905. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Everett Nichols of Fairmont, and Hazel Robbins who passed away in January, 1936.
She was the last of the parental Nichols family. One sister, two brothers and twin infants preceded her in death.
Berneice became a member of the Grace Methodist church in 1904. She was active in the W.S.C.S. and at one time served as president. She was a member of Star Rebekah lodge of Fairmont and of the West Blue Extension club.
She loved to associate with her many friends and relatives. During her last hours, she had a smile, never complaining, and was very appreciative of the care she was receiving.
She leaves to mourn her devoted husband, Ora; daughter Florence and son-in-law, Everett Nichols; two grandsons, Gene and Marvin NIchols, and Marilyn, wife of Marvin; two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Her passing is mourned by her church and her many life-long friends in the community.
Funeral services were held in Grace Methodist church in Fairmont at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 21. Rev. Robert F. Barger officiating. Oliver Moul sang "Fade, Fade Each Earthly Joy" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Mrs. A.P. Stewart was organist. Pallbearers were John Anderson, Don Galusha, Max Galusha, Harry Kelch, Ralph Lefler and Elden Opfer. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery.
