Sutton resident Elizabeth Erma (Savok) Blubaugh, 73, died May 23, 2010, at Mat-Su Regional Hospital of leukemia. A service was at Legacy Funeral Home-Bragaw Chapel, 1707 S. Bragaw St. Burial and potluck to follow with Pastor William Sheldon Jr. of Anchorage Friends Church officiating.

Elizabeth was born July 17, 1936, in Candle. She was the daughter of the late James Sr. and Annie Savok. She received her GED diploma and was a self-taught oil artist. She lived in Washington from 1957-1994. She attended Friends Church and Church of the Nazarene. Her hobby was oil painting. Her family wrote, "Loving mother and wife, Elizabeth enjoyed nature to the fullest, gardening and flowers. She was a people person. She was married to her best friend for 53 years. As snowbirds, they traveled extensively to the Lower 48."

She is survived by her husband, Forrest Lee Blubaugh; children, Cheryl and husband Jeff Brandal, and Robert and wife Vivian Blubaugh; grandchildren, Tanya, Heather, Sarah, Christina, Mary, Robin, Summer, Sean, Jayden and Betty; brothers and sisters, Suzy and Richard Erlich, John and Joyce Savok, Bernhardt, Lemeul and Mildred Savok, Paul and Marie Savok, Julie Savok, Melton and Flora Savok, Mide and Harry Riley, and Flora and Roderick Henry; and many nieces and nephews.
