Martin Zakrzewski

October 18, 1891 – January 29, 1957



The funeral of Martin Zakrzewski, 1207 N. Olive St., who died Tuesday in the Veterans'

Hospital in Fort Wayne IN, will be held at 10am Saturday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. Sigmund A. Jankowski, CSC, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St Joseph Polish Cemetery. He had been ill two years.



Born in Kingston NY, October 18, 1891, he came to South Bend from that city 58 years ago. On May 20, 1919, he was married to Miss Bernice Faltynski, who survives. He was a former employee of the Singer Manufacturing Co.



Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Cwiklinski and Mrs. Sophie Dworecki; two brothers, Joseph and Andrew, all of South Bend.



Friends may call after 7pm today in St Joseph Funeral Chapel. Mr. Zakrzewski was a member of Pulaski Post 357, American Legion and Golden Hills Post 8748, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
