The Calgary Herald, April 6, 1948 page 8: Mrs. John G. Riddle of Carstairs, 85, an oldtimer of that district, died March 31 at her home after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Riddle was born in Iowa and moved to Olds in 1902. She went to Carstairs two years later and had lived there since. Surviving are five sons: Murl, Samuel, and John of Carstairs, Carl of Wainwright and Joseph of Vancouver; four daughters: Mrs. F. Downie of Carstairs, Mrs. H. Curry of Long Beach, California, Mrs. L. Gladwin of Saunders and Mrs. W. Reitzel of Edmonton. Thank you, Contributor: No Worries

It has been suggested that Eldora'a middle name is "Lovira," but family records do not support this assumption. There is a birth record for her daughter, Minerva Belle, that appears to have "Lovira" as the middle name, but the "r" could easily be interrupted as an "n." That said, the index related to the actual record has "Louise." The "Alberta, Canada, Deaths Index, 1870-1966" has "Levira" and the "Web: Alberta, Index to Cemeteries, 1823-2013" had "Levina." I have not been able to find a definitive source beyond information provided by the family. At this time, I will leave the middle name as "Lovina" based on the family history supplied by her son, David Murl Riddle.
